Description
Old Billingsgate, situated in the heart of London and overlooking the River Thames, is one of Central London's largest event spaces. The Victorian grade II listed exterior was once home to London's largest fish market, running up until 1982. The venue encompasses three versatile spaces; The Grand Hall, The Vault and The Gallery which are available to hire separately or in conjunction with each other for up to 4,000 people standing.
The Grand Hall is the largest of the three spaces, boasting a triple-height ceiling and ornate mezzanine with a capacity to host up to 2,500 people standing. With links to the outdoor terrace, the Grand Hall can provide the ideal setting for summer drinks receptions as well as indoor events.
The Vault presents a unique hidden gem. Hidden beneath the banks of the Thames, the vault was once home to the fish stores for Billingsgate Market. The unique space, with its exposed brickwork and vaulted ceilings present a contrast to the ornate Grand Hall. With a capacity of 900 standing, the Vault is the perfect location for any occasion.
The Gallery is the smallest of the three spaces, hosting 500 people standing. The space is light and airy, presenting a more contemporary space thanks to its' arching white beams and large windows boasting unrivalled views of the Thames. Access to two further breakout rooms can also add versatility to your event, making the perfect space for a VIP lounge or drinks reception.
