The Awesome Group once again executed another successful Awards dinner which was truly an unforgettable evening, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended. Held at the elegant Leonardo St Paul’s Hotel, the event was a celebration of accomplishment and teamwork, with each moment underscoring the camaraderie and shared achievements of industry colleagues.

A sold-out crowd of over 200 guests filled the grand Wren & Shakespeare Suite, demonstrating the high esteem and excitement surrounding the awards. The competition was especially intense this year, with over 1,200 entries vying for the prestigious trophies, each showcasing the remarkable creativity and innovation that continues to push the industry forward.

Guests were treated to an exquisite seated three-course meal, served in an atmosphere that combined sophisticated decor with warm, ambient lighting, enhancing the evening’s formal yet communal and celebratory tone. As the awards were presented and inspiring speeches delivered, the room was filled with a sense of pride and anticipation, celebrating the best in their fields.

In celebration of Halloween, the leading hotel chain based in Bloomsbury hosted an unforgettable staff party filled with spooky décor, fun entertainment and delicious food and drink. Upon entry, guests could enjoy a drinks reception in the Booker foyer and conference lobby, where they were also met by their ghoulish photo op and could admire the impressive entries to their carved pumpkins competition, presented for everyone to enjoy and marvel at.

The main suite was then opened to the guests, where they were immersed into a haunting and vibrant space home to a lively DJ and dance floor, decorated photo booth, and bar. The room was transformed into a spooky scene, with the walls lined with illuminated poster panels depicting Halloween imagery and atmospheric lighting throughout the room.

After mingling and taking in the scene, a large buffet filled with a spectacular selection of finger food and nibbles was brought out for the guests to indulge themselves in, while enjoying drinks from the bar, dancing along to the DJ’s remixed hits and taking photos.

Later into the evening and with the celebration fully underway, a speech of gratitude was given, and the winner of the infamous staff carved pumpkin competition was announced, making the night one to remember for all guests, but one of a particular special occasion to the winner!

Bringing the British Seaside to a Corporate Office for a Summer Celebration In July 2024, we partnered with a long-term client to create a memorable and unique summer party for their staff, all within the confines of their own office. The client sought a creative and engaging way to celebrate the season, drawing inspiration from the quintessential charm of the British seaside. The key challenge was to capture the essence of a British seaside experience and bring it to life within an office environment. This required a seamless integration of catering, entertainment, and theming to create an immersive experience, all while ensuring the event was enjoyable and logistically smooth.

Working closely with the client, we carefully crafted a plan to transform their office into a vibrant seaside escape.

1. Catering: We curated a classic British BBQ menu that featured freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs, and jerk chicken, complemented by an array of sides and salads. This menu was designed to evoke the flavours of a traditional seaside meal, offering a taste of summer to the guests.
2. Entertainment: To bring the outdoor space to life, we organized a classic nine-hole mini golf course in the office’s outdoor area. This provided guests with a fun and engaging activity while they waited for the food to be prepared, fostering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
3. Theming: The interior of the office, particularly the basement space, was transformed into a surreal British seaside setting. We used an array of props, lighting, and a DJ to create an ambiance reminiscent of a coastal getaway. The theming was carefully designed to be both visually striking and authentic, ensuring that every detail contributed to the overall seaside vibe.

The office was completely transformed, offering a unique and immersive experience that allowed the team to enjoy a British seaside party without leaving the premises. The attention to detail and collaboration with the client ensured that their vision was fully realized, making this summer party one to remember.

This Sporting Awards is a prestigious annual event dedicated to honouring the remarkable achievements of England and Wales’s finest players. These awards shine a light on the outstanding players who have gained significant achievements within the season.

This year’s awards celebrated at Troxy with 480 guests dressed to impress in black tie. Guests arrived at 6:30pm to a glamorous foyer decorated with a step and repeat and a Sky Sports media hub – set up to interview attendees on the 2024 season. Guests were directed into the auditorium where they could make their way to a champagne drinks reception before taking their seats. The main auditorium was set out with 48 round tables with players situated front and centre to be closer to the action on stage.

The awards ceremony opened with the Chair of the association welcoming esteemed guests and players and outlined the evening’s activities. Sky Sports cycled through a roundup of summer sporting moments captured over the international and county men’s and women’s season.

The main awards ceremony began around 8:45 pm and consisted of 10 award category nominations.

The traditional charity auction, hosted by Sky Sports Pete Graves, raised an impressive £20,000.

After the award ceremony, attendees enjoyed live performances by ‘Sway’ and a DJ to conclude the evening. A 360-style photo booth captured memorable moments for guests, serving as a perfect memento for the event. The association utilised The Awesome Group by using our AV company, Awesome AV, to help with all their audio and visual needs. The 2024 event was such a success that we are now in the process of planning their 2025 event!

A popular European coffee house brand held their summer staff party at the picturesque Vauxhall Beer and Food Garden, a venue that truly set the tone for an evening of fun and relaxation. Nestled along the river with lush greenery and twinkling lights, the setting provided the perfect backdrop for the event. The staff arrived eager to unwind, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric as colleagues mingled and laughed, soaking up the vibrant energy of the garden.

The food and drink were highlights of the night, with an array of delicious options that catered to every palate. From gourmet burgers sizzling fresh off the grill to an assortment of crisp, refreshing salads, the spread was as varied as it was mouth-watering. The drink selection was equally impressive, featuring craft beers, chilled wines, and creative cocktails that kept everyone in high spirits throughout the evening.

As the night progressed, the garden’s lively ambiance only grew more festive, with music playing and spontaneous dancing breaking out under the open sky. The relaxed, yet energetic vibe allowed everyone to let loose and enjoy each other’s company outside the usual work setting. By the end of the night, it was clear that this summer party was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the camaraderie and team spirit that makes this coffee house such a special place to work.

During the summer, a global travel company specializing in providing travel services and solutions for both leisure and corporate clients approached the Awesome Group to host their summer party at London City Beach. This global travel company offer a wide range of travel products, including flights, accommodations, holiday packages, and travel insurance. Upon entry, guests were welcomed with a Virgin Redhead cocktail and took in the spectacular venue filled with beach and Cuban-style theming. With bunting lining the bars and walls, and inflatable flowers hanging from the ceiling, the guest’s attention was drawn to the outside area, home to the beach and cabanas, brimming with inflatables, deck chairs and games.

The 10 cabanas that lined the beach were used for a variety of purposes – where guests could enjoy some delicious snacks from the pick ‘n’ mix and doughnut wall huts and quench their thirsts at the hydration station and free gin and Singapore sling bars. Other cabanas provided entertainment for the guests, such as the talented caricaturist, relaxing massage hut, glitter artists and a social photobooth.

This was not all, with a surf simulator brought in to add to the beach and summer vibes, and table tennis, foosball, Jumbo Jenga, and connect 4 dotted around the venue. After some presentations, guests enjoyed a barbeque and street food-style dinner and more drinks at the 3 different bars throughout the venue, which served company branded lagers and other beverages.

As the evening came to a close, the guests danced the night away on the dance floor with a live band and media personality Rylan Clark performing as a live DJ!

Christmas Venues

At our Christmas venues, we transport guests back to the ’80s with an endless shimmer curtain, stunning lighting, and a plethora of 80’s themed props, from Game Boys to light-up palm trees.

The evening begins with a sparkling reception before guests are led into the main room, where the fun truly begins. A delectable three-course meal is served as entertainment kicks off with our mesmerizing flash dancers and incredible aerialists.

The comedic talents of Aurie Styla had attendees in barrels of laughter, setting the mood for the night. Guests were then encouraged to relive the ’80s nostalgia with vintage arcade games and capture memories in our photo booth.

Special guests Disco Inferno delivered an electrifying performance, getting everyone on the dance floor. And for those who wanted to dance the night away, DJ Vinyl Richie spun the biggest ’80s bangers, ensuring an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, dancing, and timeless fun.

Royal National

For this event, a client asked us to transform one of their hotels, the Royal National, for their annual Halloween event.

As guests entered, they were welcomed by the vibrant ambiance of an orange carpet adorned with elegant black ropes and stanchions, setting the tone for a thrilling evening. Upon stepping into the Galleon Suites, their attention was drawn to a captivating wall featuring a shimmering silver/black curtain that lined the left-hand wall.

The festivities kicked off with a delightful drinks reception, where guests could gather around illuminated poser tables, each adorned with mesmerizing images of flickering flames, creating an enchanting atmosphere.

For those seeking to capture the essence of the night on their social media feeds, an Instagram-worthy spot was set up. Here, guests could pose alongside a striking Halloween sign and two towering pumpkin heads, or they could opt for a more daring experience and enter the eerie jail cell.

To add a touch of magic to the evening, enchanting magic mirrors were installed, allowing guests to conjure their spookiest poses. Additionally, a photo booth was on hand, ready to capture those unforgettable moments and create lasting memories.

As the adventure continued, guests passed under an ominous haunted cemetery gate, leading them into the mysterious party room that was covered with a layer of smoke

Flight Club

The client wanted to host a summer party for over 600 members of staff from London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Bristol in one of their own London Venue, Flight Club Victoria. Guests were treated to an open bar an endless round of social darts to play with colleagues from across the UK.

We were blessed with one of Britain’s rare but beautiful sunny September days, which allowed guests to make full use of the venues outdoor large terrace space.

Guests were served a selection of the venues’ menu including delicious bites and selection of pizzas. This was also accompanied with an unlimited drinks package. This venue was perfect for creating memorable experiences.

Leonardo Royal Hotel St. Pauls

The client was planning a post-Christmas party and awards ceremony in a hotel function room for 200 guests. Following the success of their first ever Alumni Ball in 2023, the client chose to use the same venue, Leonardo Royal Hotel St Pauls, to celebrate the events second year running.

Guests enjoyed a sparkling reception in the Exhibition Room, followed by a bespoke 3 course seated meal in the Wren Suite and a night of highly anticipated awards. To complete the ceremony the clients requested the installation of a balloon drop above the stage, adding the final touch to a night of glitz and glam.

Guests made the most of the 360 Photobooth and infinity dance floor to dance the night with the live band and DJ.
